Easily and efficiently manage publication rights in a document explorer.

This module offers two rights policies for publications, depending on the rights defined for the categories:

• Consultation rights
  The module controls access rights to publications.
  Consultation rights positioned on a category are propagated to the content classified within it.
  A publication categorized in several protected categories is visible to a member only if the member has access to at least one of the protected categories.
  
  
• Consultation, contribution/modification and management rights - ⭐ New in CRP3
  this approach, available since version 3.0 of the module, lets you define consultation, contribution/modification and management rights on publications according to category rights.
  
  

When to use this module

The CRP3 module should be used when users wish to facilitate the management of files and rights in their Electronic Document Management (EDM) system.

This module enables rights to be defined directly on the files themselves, simplifying the user experience. What's more, with its three levels of rights (consultation, contribution/modification and management), CRP3 offers fine-grained authorization management, enhancing security and flexibility in content access.

This module can be activated on different category branches. So you can have normal rights management on one tree, and CRP module-based folder management on another.

What does this module offer?

CRP3 's approach is based on the notion of the folder as the main focus of EDM. Rights can now be defined directly on the folder itself, enabling more intuitive management of document rights.

Three levels of rights are available: consultation, contribution/modification and management.

In addition, it is no longer necessary to be part of the workspace to be granted rights, as long as the folder is visible to the user.

Rights are inherited from parent categories.

A display allows you to see which rights are in place, so you can easily determine who has rights to a folder or publication

Document Explorer adds menu entries to facilitate this management.
