What's new in version 3.4 of the Microsoft 365 plugin:

• co-publishing redesign

What's new in version 3.3

• the sharepoint portlet can now be limited to a parentFile (a sharepoint directory). For example, to show the user only the target documents.
• the editing and co-editing of documents by Microsoft 365 has been revised and simplified.
• documents edited by Microsoft 365 are now temporarily stored in a sharepoint (historically onedrive)

What does this plugin offer?

The Microsoft 365 plugin integrates Microsoft applications into the Jalios Digital Workplace:

• Access to Microsoft 365 applications from the JPlatform application launcher (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, OneNote, Teams, etc.)
• Search for Microsoft 365 documents from within JPlatform's comprehensive cross-functional search
• View, edit and co-edit Microsoft 365 documents from within JPlatform
• Unified insertion of OneNotes or Microsoft 365 documents whether they are stored in OneDrive, Sharepoint or Teams
• View last used documents, last shared documents, popular documents (with filter on document type)
• Outlook integration using the JMail and JCalendar plugins
  • Display of emails in the topbar to be able to process them quickly (view, mark as read/unread, to be followed, mark as junk, archive, delete, share in JPlatform, create a task from an email, import attachments)
  • Access to Microsoft 365 personal calendar in calendar views ("my day" view in the sidebar or page calendar view)

The plugin also provides SSO integration that allows users to connect to the Jalios Digital Workplace using their Office 365 login. Their profile picture is automatically synchronized between the Digital Workplace and Microsoft 365.

A single, organized access point for Microsoft 365

With the Microsoft 365 plugin, I can find all the Microsoft 365 tools from my intranet, which becomes my real Digital Workplace. I no longer waste time accessing each tool individually and I no longer see those I don't use. I have direct access to my emails, to all my documents whether they are in SharePoint or OneDrive, to the information flows of the company communication or to the activity flows of my teams, etc.

In the application launcher, I find the Microsoft 365 applications alongside my other business applications. I have a better understanding of which application I should use depending on what I want to do.

The same consistent experience with or without Microsoft 365

The Microsoft 365 plugin is based on the JMail and JCalendar plugins, among others, which will offer the same user experience if we decide to change our collaboration and office suite (for example Google Suite or Bluemind, Zimbra, Notes, etc.).

On the other hand, some of our employees only use the Microsoft 365 suite to a limited extent: thanks to this plugin, they stay informed and can exchange outside of Microsoft 365 applications, thanks to a common user experience of the Jalios Digital Workplace.
